Our editors meet every morning and choose stories on what readers need to know, not on what is trending.
Who pays for your journalism?
Our readers. Subscriptions fund 80% of our newsroom, and no advertiser sees a story before it is published.
How do I report a mistake?
Email corrections@ledger.example. We publish every correction at the foot of the article and on our corrections page.
Do you use AI to write articles?
No. Reporters and editors write and check every story. We may use tools to transcribe interviews.
A note from the editor
We will get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we will say so clearly and quickly. That is the promise.
